I discovered something great. I couldn't decide which article I wanted to post, so here is the link for the entire site:
http://www.burnsidewriterscollective.com/
I've read 'Tolkien Was no Hobbit' (Miller), 'Flag-Waving SUV' (Carothers) and '10 Ways to be a Do-er of Justice' (Carothers again). The SUV article got me right where it hurts. "It is far easier to point our fingers and judge than to look at our own lives and ask God to weed out our sin. I am at fault if I judge the multi-millionaire who wonÂt part with his wealth to help get treatment to people dying of AIDS. I am the one who suffers if I choose to judge rather than change myself. "
I intend to read more from this site, but if you beat me to it,makee your recommendations.
Today at school John Maxwell came and spoke to the church/school staff aboutsuccesss. Apparentlyy he is well known and squeezed us in between his Chickfila and Kentucky Fried Chicken corporate speakingengagementss. He kept telling us if we wanted him to sign our books he would stick around. I took notes and will put them up this weekend.
Next visitor to CFCA/First Baptist Church of Central Florida : Oliver North.

There's a new article on Burnside Writer's Collective that's hilarious--it's about some seminary pres. that is mad about the book Blue Like Jazz and Miller "defends" his book. Hilarious.
